Our program specializes in supporting a consistent and balanced approach to the weight loss journey. Together, we can curate meaningful results with weekly Semaglutide treatment.

A Weight Loss Solution

Semaglutide is an injectable medication for treating type 2 diabetes and weight management. It belongs to a class of drugs known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. Semaglutide stimulates the GLP-1 receptors in the pancreas, which leads to increased insulin secretion in response to elevated blood sugar levels. It also reduces the release of glucagon, a hormone that raises lower blood sugar levels.

Clinical trials have shown that Semaglutide, when used at higher doses for weight management, can lead to significant weight loss in participants. This makes it a valuable option for individuals struggling with genetic or conditional weight retention.

Benefits of Semaglutide Treatment

Better Blood Sugar Control: Semaglutide helps regulate low blood sugar levels.

Weight Loss Support: It aids in weight loss, especially for individuals with obesity or excess weight.

Complication Risk Reduction: Reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications, such as cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, nerve damage, and eye problems. Managing weight can also have a positive impact on overall health.

Appetite Management: It can help control appetite, assisting with portion control.

Cardiovascular Health: Some GLP-1 receptor agonists, including semaglutide, have demonstrated cardiovascular benefits in clinical trials. They may reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular events in people with diabetes and a history of cardiovascular disease.

Long-Term Health Improvements: Semaglutide can lead to better long-term health outcomes and reduced healthcare costs.

Semaglutide has been studied for long-term use and is generally considered safe when used as prescribed as a medical weight loss treatment. However, it’s important to discuss potential risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

  • History of any thyroid condition
  • Personal or family history of MTC (medullary thyroid cancer)
  • Personal or family history of MEN 2 (multiple endocrine neoplasia, type II)
  • Prior serious hypersensitivity reaction to semaglutide or any component in the formulation.
  • History of pancreatitis
  • BMI must be greater than 30 (or greater than 27 with one or more weight-related medical condition such as hypertension, diabetes, knee pain, etc)
  • Semaglutide is not recommended for people with type 1 diabetes or those with a history of severe gastrointestinal disease. It should be used with caution in individuals with a history of pancreatitis.

Common side effects may include nausea, constipation, vomiting, diarrhea, and decreased appetite. These side effects are often more noticeable when starting the medication but tend to improve with time.

The most common form of Semaglutide is available as a subcutaneous injection, and that is the administered method for treatment with Blue. It comes in a pre-filled syringe, and patients typically self-administer the injection once a week. Part of the Weight Loss by Blue program is provider education on how to successfully self-administer Semaglutide, however, accomadations can be made depending on patient preference and medical history.

The timeframe for seeing results can vary from person to person. Some individuals may experience improved blood sugar control or weight loss within a few weeks, while others may take longer.
