Our program specializes in supporting a consistent and balanced approach to the weight loss journey. Together, we can curate meaningful results with scheduled Tirzepatide treatment.

Weight Management with Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide is an injectable medication used to help manage appetite and support weight loss. The treatment works by stimulating the GLP-1 receptors in the pancreas, which lead to increased insulin secretion as a response to elevated blood sugar levels.

In addition to being a GLP-1 receptor agonist – Tirzepatide also mimics a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), a hormone in the body that aids blood glucose levels and facillitates fat cell storage.

This innovative therapy aims to improve blood sugar control and weight management by leveraging the synergistic effects of both GIP and GLP-1.

The timeframe for seeing results can vary from person to person. Some individuals may experience improved blood sugar control or weight loss within a few weeks, while others may take longer.

Common side effects may include burping, nausea, constipation, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and decreased appetite. These side effects are often more noticeable when starting the medication but tend to improve with time. Risks can include cases of pancreatitis, kidney related issues or dysfunction, thyroid related issues including Medullary thyroid cancer, and what is commonly referred to as “Ozempic face.”

The most common form of Tirzepatide is available as a subcutaneous injection, which is the administered method for treatment with Blue. It comes in a pre-filled syringe, and patients typically self-administer the injection once a week. Part of the Weight Loss by Blue program is provider education on how to successfully self-administer Tirzepatide, however, accomadations can be made depending on patient preference and medical history.
